Talisker: I performed with the excellent Talisker Chamber Players (yes...named after the very fine single malt!) right before the aforementioned tour. Zorana Sadiq, soprano and I guested on Songs from the Gitanjali for voice, tabla and string quartet composed by Naresh Sohal.
To Boldly Go... A while back, I recorded on the world premiere of David Mott's 'Eclipse' featuring pianist Christina Petrowska Quilico and the York World Music Ensemble (including Autoricksaw vocalist Suba Sankaran). It's a piece of music that Canadian astronaut Steve MacLean took with him on the Space Shuttle, to share with the rest of the universe.
Tabla in space. Just doin' my part. Grammy Nomination! Don't believe me? click away. Just kidding...I played tabla and udu on Loreena McKennitt's album An Ancient Muse, which has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Contemporary World Music category (category 75). I'm on one track, called Kecharitomene.

Rob Greenway aka brilliantfish did the design, as well as playing percussion, keys, voice and textures on the album. I don't have a shot of the inside cover, but here is the photo in question: Click for the fancy zooming effect
