Welcome to my new website. I will be adding more content as time goes on, but the site is basically up and running. So, watch some videos, look at some photos from autorickshaw's tour in India in January, read a bit about tabla, see what concerts I have coming up and what recordings I've played on, leave a comment in the guestbook, join my email list, check out the classes I offer in tabla and tabla repair, and the school workshops Suba Sankaran and I will be offering come September. In the plans are some more tabla & autorickshaw videos, further information on tabla and Indian classical music, more photos, web links on a number of topics, and maybe I'll 'blog' about something or other.
Then Hanley transformed song to spectacle with a brain-liquifying tabla solo, an onslaught of percussive sixteenth notes and syncopated shifts hammered out by his wrists and fingers with such precision that… well, you really had to be there. Let's just say that as Hanley's beat went on, the man on my left purred like a cat savouring a sumptuous can of tuna." -NOW Magazine
